Rant (1)

I stumbled onto this girl's profile, her bio read:

“Don't text me if you're not 6′1”

Her Display picture? The closest I could find in two minutes:

Just a random pretty girl adding her personal preferences for dating in her bio, totally common and nothing problematic.

Now flip the coin.

A boy goes on to add,

“Hit me up when your waistline hits 24 inches.”

I need not even explain on what kind of reaction that guy will receive from others. Your mind would've also thought of the type of comments he may get.

When it's very much practical and controllable to achieve a particular size of waist then to have a height of your choosing.

I'm 5’11. Thus, I'm obviously not begging for short-guy sympathy here, rather stating a relevant fact.

Height, for any individual, is not mouldable to great degrees. It's believed that it can be changed through activities but that mostly remains mysterious.

Weight, unless the person suffers from some health boundations, can be adjusted according to the liking through sheer exercises and rigorous diet.

Height for men works as a basic criteria for dating and marriages. People so normally reject others if their height isn't desired by them.

Weight in women is something you should stay as possibly silent about as your human capacity allows you to.

You immediately become human embodiment of all sorts of negative comments if your statement is indicated toward a woman's weight.

Nonetheless, every person deserves to have personal preferences but this privilege should be enjoyed by both the genders.

Why there's no prom in Indian schools?

First of all , let's see what's prom is .  A prom is a ball or formal dance at a school or college, especially one held at the end of the academic year for students who are in their final year, the sophomores. And it has students bringing dates along with them. Boys and girls in school are supposed to ask each other out to be there prom partners. (Do you think any Indian parent will allow two people of opposite gender to be this close to each other?) This is what happened when this seemingly inappropriate posters of a telugu film called arjun reddy released  Look at how the so called cultural saviors are vandalizing  the public property just because that poster is a threat to their glorious culture (sarcasm). Now, as to why there is no prom concept in India? The reason is-: Most of the people in India are very conservative and talking and hanging out with opposite sex is generally looked down upon by the society it is said to cause distractions...

THE GREAT INDIAN RAILWAY BIZARRE

Apologists for Empire point to a number of other benefits they say the British left India with: the railways, above all; the English language; the education system and even organized sport, especially cricket, the one sport at which, in recent years, Indians have twice been world champions. Let us examine these in turn.   The construction of the Indian Railways is often pointed to by apologists for Empire as one of the ways in which British colonialism benefited the subcontinent, ignoring the obvious fact that many countries also built railways without having to go to the trouble and expense of being colonized to do so. But the facts are even more damning. The railways were first conceived of by the East India Company, like everything else in that firm’s calculations, for its own benefit. Governor General Lord Hardinge argued in 1843 that the railways would be beneficial ‘to the commerce, government and military control of the country’. Ten years later, his successor Lord Dalh...
